Grab a table at the Innocence Mission’s Holiday Gala!
Today, as we draw closer to the holiday season, I’d like to share with you information about a recently formed non-profit organization that is particularly close to many of our FLOC members’ hearts. The organization is called THE INNOCENCE MISSION and it is dedicated to the eradication of child sexual abuse throughout our society. It was founded this year by one of our FLOC members, Elaina Kroll, and its mission through awareness, advocacy and prevention is to create a world where every child’s right to sexual innocence is protected and upheld.
Not sure if many of you know the statistics, but 1 in every 4 girls and 1 in every 6 boys by the age of 16 have been/will be sexually abused. Along with that 70% of all rape victims are under the age of 18. If these horrific statistics are true, then all of us have been impacted (directly or indirectly) by this silent epidemic.
THE INNOCENCE MISSION recognizes that something must be done to change our society around this issue and FLOC would like to support TIM in its efforts. So with that being said, we want to inform you about THE INNOCENCE MISSION’S first annual World of Wonderment gala taking place Friday, December 4th. It’s a formal attire event at the Disney’s Grand California Hotel and the entertainment is the band Royal Crown Revue!!
