This April FLOC met with “The Wooden Floor” and heard from Fund Developer Keegan Bell. Hosted by French 75, FLOCers networked, engaged and signed-up to volunteer for upcoming Wooden Floor events!
Below is a list of current positions (Associate Boards and Committees) that have been communicated to us from our nonprofit partners. We’ve put their contact information below so you can follow-up with them individually. Please keep us posted if you decide to join a Board or Committee as it helps us with our record keeping. Opening: South OC Event Committee
Positions: Event Co-Chair, Vice Chair, Auction Chair, Table Host Chair, Sponsorship Chair
Description: American Cancer Society is looking to create an event in South OC for “high end” funders (both young adults and older). The event is positioned to take place in Dana Point sometime in June or July.
Meeting times: Few times a month
Responsibilities: Help organize the event, identify sponsors, find attendees and assist during the event

Opening: There are two: 1) Valiant Women Committee (Fashion Show Luncheon) and 1) Mission Hospital Young Associate Development Committee

Description:
(For Women Only) The Valiant Women Committee is a long standing membership group associated with Mission Hospital, they are in need of new talent and new “younger” members to help organize the fashion show. This is a big time money maker for the hospital and a great opportunity to meet some amazing women in the community.
(For Men and Women) Mission Hospital is looking to build a strong group of young professionals that advocate for the Hospital and help identify new funders. This group would be made up of some of OC’s best and birghtest up and coming young professionals. ~ Besides this, there are also other committee associated with the hospital that include the annual holiday gala, golf tournament and other events that positions are available for… Follow-up with the contact below for more details.

Opening: Associate Board & Golf Tournament Committee
Positions: Committee Member
Description: Kids Konnected is looking for young new members to join their Associate Board and to help oversee the Annual Golf Tournament and other events. FLOC Member James Ruiz has been on this board for years and is looking to bring in more FLOC members to assist in the organizations further development.
Meeting times: Once or twice a month
Responsibilities: Help Kids Konnected become more financially secure, assist with fundraiser sponsorships and event coordination.

Positions: The Associate Board Member, Special Event Committee Member
Description: PCRF is making an effort to grow its young donor base and is looking for bright people to help them expand. PCRF is a foundation which generates $$ for cancer research and there is an ongoing need for young professionals to help assist in helping each PCRF event a success and expanding its reach.
Meeting times: Once a month
Responsibilities: Attend events, identify new supporters, assist with events/volunteer when needed.

Description: CASA has a casino night that takes place in the middle of summer which raises around a good chunk of money for the organization. The event has grown throughout the years and is in need of new talent.
