The First Annual Orange County Finest Award is a new and unique award unlike any offered in the area. Twenty women and men who best represent both the now and the future of Orange County in their field and in our community are recognized for their professional accomplishments, their commitment to giving back, and their fundraising efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. These leaders are invaluable in making a difference in the Orange County community, not only in their field but also in how they positively impact our community and those who struggle with cystic fibrosis.
The evening is a who’s who gathering of the best and brightest in Orange County. Honorees and the public alike mix and mingle while celebrating the success of the honorees and the Foundation’s efforts in finding a cure for CF. Honorees and sponsors will be featured in an issue of the Orange County Business Journal Magazine, which is read by over 50,000 people monthly.
Honorees will raise funds to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full productive lives by helping fund research and drug development, promote individualized treatments and ensure access to high quality, specialized care. This funding will help expand the CF drug development pipeline to more than 30 potential lifesaving CF therapies. This expanded pipeline represents more possibilities for finding a cure and a control for this disease. Any one of these therapies, or a combination of drugs, could make a significant difference in the quality of life of those battling CF.
